Aquabord is a rigid, textured, absorbent painting panel that is designed for watercolors and other water media.  It has been said that this surface has a paper-like texture. I don't find this to be true. I think it's it's OWN THING. I have had a friend joke it's like watercoloring on a piece of sheetrock.  Now, one thing (perhaps the best thing?) is that you do not have to stretch paper. There are many inspiring sights to behold in the desert. Here, we'll focus on cactus flowers and the beauty they bring for a short time. (Made longer by painting them!) 

Eagle Nest, New Mexico is a small village tucked away in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Northern New Mexico. It is located along the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway.  This past weekend, we visited and stayed and a lakeside RV campground which was just a short walk to the shores of Eagle Nest Lake.  We hiked Lower Eagle Nest Lake Trail. This trail is an easy 5.5 mile out and back trail that is great for fishing, hiking, and is not very crowded. The elevation here is 8,216ft.  On the way to the back gate entrance to the lake, there...
